Joanne is a Clinical Psychologist employed within acute public mental health since 2002. She is currently employed as a Senior Clinical Psychologist within Austin Child and
Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS). In this role Joanne works with children and adolescents completing mental health assessments and implementing relevant interventions. Intervention often include individual therapy, dyad work, parent work and working with key stakeholders within the system. Family therapy, play therapy, crisis management, secondary consultation to government and school organisations, completion of group programs, and in service education is also part of her role.
Prior to this Joanne was employed as a Senior Clinician / Team Leader within North West Area Mental Health (NWAMHS) acute mental health (Community Outpatient Team). She was also employed as an Acting Program Manager within the NWAMHS Primary Mental Health Team. She has sound knowledge and experience in working with acute adult mental health presentations.
Joanne has also played a role in supervising postgraduate Clinical Psychology students throughout her employment in public mental health.
From 2016 to mid 2018, Joanne also supervised students within the LaTrobe University Clinical Psychology post graduate training program. The aim of this role was to assist in the training and development of Clinical Psychology registrars.
Joanne has particular expertise in working with child behavioural issues where a systemic approach is often utilised to promote change. Joanne also has an interest working within the area of adult mental health.
Dr Lisa Forrester is the founder and Clinical Director of Diamond Valley Clinical Psychology and has been working privately in the Diamond Valley area for over 15 years. She has had considerable experience assisting individuals with a variety of mental health issues and also works part-time as a Senior Clinical Psychologist within the public mental health system.
Andrea Guest is a Clinical Psychology Registrar with over 10 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. She has worked primarily in public and community mental health settings, with children and families impacted by trauma and abuse.
Dr Phil Kavanagh is a CBT trained clinical psychologist who has worked with individuals across the lifespan on the treatment of various mental health difficulties. These include but are not limited to; depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, bipolar disorder, sexual abuse, and personality disorders
